Gibson Invader GA-30RVT

I think this amp is a 1962 model (8 tubes instead of 9). This is a great sounding amp - at least for me. The amp does not exactly match the Gibson schematic shown here. It worked fine when I initially got it, but has since needed some repair work. I've made a few repairs to keep it working and it's been all very worthwhile.

First problem: Reduced output, somewhat distorted. The problem turned out to be one of the power resistors which had to be replaced. Gibson Amp Second problem: No output at all. Had to replace the GZ34/5AR4 rectifier tube. Gibson Amp Third problem: Sounded like a motorboat. The problem continued even after replacing the filter capacitor. All the caps needed to be replaced. Sounds great once again.
